Woodbridge, VA – Sev1Tech announced today that Andy Cohen has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development. In this new position, Andy will be responsible for supporting Sev1Tech’s Civilian Programs group by strengthening existing industry partnerships and shaping opportunities with new and existing customers in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Andy brings over 30 years of experience delivering and growing IT services. For the past 25 years, he has focused on identifying new business opportunities and growing business within HHS. He has demonstrated a record of success assessing the viability of new opportunities, initiating the business case for new bids, nurturing and sustaining relationships with industry partners, and leading capture as well as proposal development activities.

Prior to joining Sev1Tech, Andy provided business development and capture expertise to Salient CRGT, focusing on the HHS market. He spent much of his career at SRA (prior to its acquisition by CSC), where he performed a variety of roles including project and program management, P&L line management, business development and capture. Andy has provided project and program management services to Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) clients responsible for emergency preparedness and response, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clients responsible for regulatory reviews and post-market product surveillance, and Administration for Children and Families (ACF) clients responsible for child support enforcement. While managing P&L, he oversaw work performed for HHS clients that included FDA, ACF, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and HHS’s Office of the Secretary (HHS OS). His business development and capture expertise has resulted in multiple new contracts with these clients and others including the Program Support Center (PSC) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
