Woodbridge, VA – Sev1Tech, a leading provider of information technology, engineering, and program management services, today announced it has been named a winner of the Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS) 2018 Companies as Responsive Employers (CARE) Award. Sev1Tech received this award based on its community involvement and impact, workplace culture and benefits, and education and training programs.

“We are honored to receive the CARE Award and be recognized for our ongoing commitment to maintain a work environment that not only keeps our staff happy and motivated, but also empowers them to make a difference in the community” said Bob Lohfeld, CEO of Sev1Tech. “We strive to provide our employees with plenty of opportunities that promote and sustain a healthy balance between work and home life as well as giving back to the community.”

For more than 25 years, the CARE Awards have recognized companies that focus on making Northern Virginia a better place to work and live. Members of the CARE Awards Nominating Committee visit each nominee to tour the company and interview employees who range from entry-level staff to senior management.

NVFS commended Sev1Tech for its leadership among Northern Virginia employers in providing exceptional benefits and family-friendly policies. Sev1Tech offers 15 days of paid time off annually; flexible work schedules; paid maternity and paternity leave; paid training and certification opportunities; a tuition assistance program offering employees up to $10,000 annually; and fun corporate events and holiday parties. Sev1Tech also offers an additional 16 hours of paid time off each year for employees to participate in community service activities.

“Our culture and values not only attract exceptional talent, they enable us to be a positive force within our community,” says Amy Urquhart, Director of Talent Acquisition. “We also offer the opportunity for employees to support causes they are passionate about by researching and coordinating numerous community service events with different organizations throughout the year.”
